Supernatural - 4x03 - In the beginning

Let's face it, this series of Supernatural I think playing with all the trimmings, not only because it introduced a topic that until now had only been touched (that of God and angels), but also because has associated with his brothers to the more skeptical of an angel private. And this episode Dean centric ( oh yes! ) allows just one look quest'inedita pair up. But let us ... In the beginning, an appropriate title as Dean, a bit 'like a new Michael J. Fox, finds himself sent back in 1973, when his mother and father are struggling with her parents and the proposed marriage of the young Winchester has yet to materialize. Given this background, the episode could be even a simple loaf in the wake of memories of a dead mother, but instead the writers that make me? Ta-da-aaaaaa I resurrect an old friend from his eyes colored. And 'the yellow-eyed demon and the true protagonist of the episode, bad as in the first series, diabolical and cumbersome, and even if for a moment (a moment though) I thought it was a wrong move and propose it again after the incomparable sadistic evil of Lilith, so I had to change my mind and immediately sprinkle ashes on their heads because they better than the yellow-eyed demon, let's face it, there could be.

In a nutshell: Castiel sends Dean in 1973 with the task of "stopping" (who what, where, or why do not you know). Here in the remote past, the young Winchester runs into his father and, surprisingly, to some hunter named Mary, who a few years later would become her mother. Having made the acquaintance of his maternal grandparents also discovered that the yellow-eyed demon is at work in the area to prepare the project that will eventually involve Sam. Decided to stop (and I believe also to respond to the orders of Castiel) sets off to hunt for the demon, not only escapes but manages to squeeze in every case with Mary the pact that will lead to death. Closing credits on Dean in mind when you risvelgia Azazeal reveals that his task was not to stop Castiel but his brother Sam, who has embarked on a road uncertain and unpredictable. Continue ...

If a certain point of view this point by other evidence as to why or why Dean has returned from hell, and even reveals very little of the guardian angel who finds himself (and I say, the black wings of where this was , not canonical will be supplied by an Angel for good, or not?), however, leaves open a door to the storyline of the series, implying a future confrontation between the two brothers and a plan even bigger and more dangerous orchestrated by the demon with yellow eyes. Much better bet, even slightly above the average of a series that still gives a lot of satisfaction, which leaves the taste in the mouth of aquiline that makes me look forward to the next episode.
