Yet another episode in its own right in style Ghost Whisperer. To tell the truth, however, I must admit that the last two episodes of this kind have not been too bad, maybe because the envi-ronments was unusual, and then distracted me a bit 'from the classic plot "Phantom of the week." In a nutshell: Mel and Jim go for a cruise on a ship about to be retired. As scheduled, the ship is haunted by ghosts of hundreds dead in the long years of activity of the cabin. Mel, engaged in dealing with a woman who literally sucks the life from a man on the ship, Eli sbologna the poor (which thankfully in this incident is only a brief appearance) the remaining 199 ghosts that leave name and contact information over the phone because he can then settle their affairs in abeyance. When you say the joy of being the boss, eh Mel? Anyway ... life sucks the ghost turns out to be a young woman in love, climb on the ship secretly to follow his own man, but the more beautiful if it ends up kissing another woman. She runs, has a stupid accident and died on the ship where he remained for years to come looking for revenge on his ex and targeting in the meantime a lot of poor and innocent men. Mel obviously discovered that it was just a misunderstanding, that the man she really loved the ghost and was just saying goodbye to his ex. Compare the light, the ghost is gone, and they are all happy.
But let us. With regret I must say that Ghost whisperer seems to have lost that touch of "Gothic" that gave her points in the first and a bit 'in the second series, and I think that was one of her best features. I like to find ghosts bleeding, apparently fearful that suddenly appear from the shadows, then although none of these (except the Roman) then had the credentials to actually scare. Unfortunately this, along with its many interesting narrative threads, was lost in the twisted minds of the writers.
Patience.
As planned no hint yet that Melinda will have to pay that price if not in the promo of the episode that prossiam wisely informs us that only two episodes we'll know something. Now, waiting for the plot twist (though, c'mon, 4 episodes are enough to understand what is going to happen ... it's a plot twist a bit 'well, let's say) I dwell on speculations discourse of the "price".
I understand that you must pay a price if you have a superpower like, say, Supermen that allows you to save on air travel, but if you have a super power that you have not, you goof up the only life that you submit with nightmares and visions, which has virtually wiped out your social life, but you also pay us a price on it? That is, it is not already made a gift to have this price? Mah ..
Closed parentheses. Let's go back to the episode. As a whole is still enjoyable. Jim, for the first time in all four series, I think, has more than two bars in a row and, as usual, his character gets along great with shoulder support (in the sense that does all the dirty work while Mel is sitting in the sun magnificence). I always liked how the relationship between the newlyweds was painting in the show, he is the ideal husband for anyone, supportive, sweet, love, nurses, a physical model from ... who want more from life? In recent episodes, the writers were very committed to this stress his personality, the fact that the crutch on which Mel leans inevitably, even without being fully account (or better, she says, in words not to take for granted but then the hubby , in fact, it seems a bit 'it will). All this of course makes sense given what happens between only two episodes (hopefully) and what will be unpleasant, at that moment, I think is the right way, the last train that Ghost Whisperer can take to make the leap in quality and not falling into oblivion.
